  • Technology Resource

Globster Edu is a web 2.0 tool which allows users to easily create digital posters using images from the site along with images, video, and sound uploaded by the user.Teachers can create accounts for up to 50 students with the basic globster edu account (which is free), and add up to 200 students with the premium account (11.95month/99.00year). It is a safe and creative digital environment for students all activity is monitored by the instructor and only those invited by the instructor can view the virtual classroom.

Globster edu allows teachers to differentiate instruction and allow students to express themselves in a variety of different ways. It works great for all subject areas and can be used as a collaborative learning tool!

  • How do you use Globster EDU?
  1. Create a Globster edu account. (Make sure you register under globster edu and not the traditional globster site.)
  2. Add new students to the account. Simply click on the "Add New Students" button located on the teacher's dashboard. A confirmation email will be sent to the teacher which contains the student's login information.
  3. Assign project to students and watch the creativity begin.

  • Replacement Ideas

Globster takes poster projects to a whole new level! Globster not only replaces the old paper poster projects, but allows students to do so much more! Students can now add audio and video to these projects (they can even capture audio and video images directly from their computer onto globster). This allows students to create more meaningful expressions.

Students also have virtually any image they would need or want right at their fingertips. Globster not only includes an image library, but also allows students to upload images to globster. Teachers will be able to get rid of the magazine piles they have been saving for years for projects such as this!

Globster also allows students to develop and practice the technology skills which are so important to today's learner.

  • Research
Glogster was named by Instructor magazine as one of the 25 Websites that teachers love. The linked article below describes how Traci Blazosky, a elementary teacher in northwestern Pennsylvania, is using Glogster to take her students on virtual field trips. The article details how she sits up her field trips and how she uses Globster along with Google Earth to take her students to places around the globe. This article really highlights the variety of ways in which Glogster can be used within the classroom.
